UK-based charter operator Titan Airways revealed that they will replace their two Boeing 757-200s with Airbus A321LRs.
The two brand-new Airbus A321LRs are scheduled for delivery in late summer and will enter revenue service in the autumn.
The A321LRs, says Titan, represents the “future of narrow-bodied long-haul flying” for the airline.
Titan Airways opted to fit each aircraft with three Additional Center Tanks (ACT) allowing the aircraft to fly around 4,000 nautical miles.
Powered by CFM Leap engines and incorporating Airbus’ “Sharklets” the quieter, more economical, A321LR will burn approximately 25% less fuel than the B757 and enable the reduction of CO2 emissions.
Titan Airways A321LR Cabin Layout
For a VIP and corporate travel service like Titan the interior of the aircraft is always very important.
According to the airline, the aircraft´s interior will be fitted by Airbus Corporate Jets for “maximum passenger comfort in a variety of cabin configurations”.
The first of two A321LR will features a single-class layout with 195 standard seats. However the second aircraft will have a two-class layout, with 16 premium seats at the front of the cabin and 168 standard seats at the rear.
Titan Airways also plans to offer an all-business configuration with 52 fully lie-flat seats, on behalf of TCS World Travel.
Both airplanes will be equipped with state-of-the-art hi-speed WiFi and Airbus‘ OSP in-flight entertainment (IFE) system.
Titan Airways will also receive a wide-bodied Airbus A330, to be delivered to their Stansted base in the spring. This is another step towards the objective of a modern all-Airbus operation.
