My Visit to 2022 NBAA-BACE: What’s New in Business Aviation?

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) concluded an inspiring and forward-looking week at its 2022 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), making the show among the best to date.

NBAA also marked the 75th anniversary of its founding at the show, held October 18-20 at Florida’s Orange County Convention Center and Orlando Executive Airport, which hosted a sold-out aircraft display.

I flew a Cirrus Vision Jet G2+ from Atlanta Hartsfield International; the world’s busiest airport to the 2022 NBAA-BACE in Orlando.

New Gulfstream G700 and G800

The new ultra-long-range Gulfstream G800 made its debut at 2022 NBAA-BACE. It has the longest range of 8,000 nautical miles. The test pilot explained the flight test program and the experimental airplane in my video.

Gulfstream brought the full range of aircraft from G280, G500, G600, G650ER, G700 and G800 to the NBAA-BACE display. I toured the luxury fit-out of the longest and largest Gulfstream to date; the Gulfstream G700.

Dassault Falcon

Dassault debut its latest Falcon 6X at NBAA-BACE this year. In addition, they displayed the largest falcon 10X in a 1:1 scale mock-up.

Opportunities from NBAA-BACE

A year ago, I toured the Cirrus Vision Jet at NBAA. This year I flew in one to the show! The opportunities created from networking and face-to-face meet at the NBAA-BACE are like no other.

“NBAA-BACE was a stirring celebration of business aviation’s proud history, but even more thrilling, it was a look into our promising future,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen.

The convention honored the aviation legends who brought the industry to this milestone, while spotlighting the pioneers, new technologies and dynamic companies that will power business aviation over the next 75 years.

NBAA will carry the momentum forward next year, when NBAA-BACE returns to Las Vegas Oct. 17-19, 2023. See you there!
