  1. @Dan:

Given how low the fares are, an inexpensive positioning flight to SFO would still be very much cheaper than other J products to Iceland. Look into a separate flight to NorCal.

  2. Definitely the special fares are excellent. Myself and my son flew Icelandair this past Feb.-March to Paris with four days stopover in Reykjavik using Icelandair’s stopover program. We paid about $1,100 RT from SFO for the two of us so the fares were also excellent. They were in economy, however, so these new special fares in Saga class would be great. And they include the meals and drinks with this type of class fare.

We thought that the flights themselves were stellar: On time or early. But the inflight crews need to get schooled on what customer service is all about. Apart from I’d say two flight attendants the rest on all of our flights were surly and rude. Very unfriendly looking too. Not that one is looking to be great friends with them, but these people were just unwelcoming!

  3. Whoa!! That’s cheaper than most economy flights to Europe during the summer! Too bad the left out LAX otherwise I’d jump on this.
