British Airways has unveiled its new First Class Suite, featuring a range of new features including buddy dining, personal luggage space, window blinds with electronic controls, and more. As the only European carrier to offer First Class services from London to the U.S., British Airways collaborated with Collins Aerospace RTX business to create its new First Class suite.
This launch is part of British Airways’ refurbishment program for its Airbus A380 superjumbos, expected to take flight by mid-2026. The suite has been designed incorporating customer feedback to enhance usability, comfort, and aesthetics.
New First Class Suite
British Airways’ new First Class Suite features a seat width of 36.5-inch, which converts into a fully rectangular bed measuring 79 inches in length. Encased within a 60-inch curved wall, the suite aims to offer better privacy to its customers.
- Personal luggage storage: A space to wheel in and stow luggage.
- Window blinds: Controlled electronically via the internal panel for all three windows.
- ‘Do Not Disturb’ function: Operated via a wireless control tablet for uninterrupted rest.
Moreover, each seat includes adjustable mood lighting with custom settings like “relax,” “dine,” and “cinema,” a multi-purpose ottoman, and a stowable table.
The 32-inch 4K TV screen, paired with new acoustic panels, is aimed to provide a cinematic experience in the air.
For travelers flying together, center seats offer a sliding divider, creating a shared space for buddy dining, facilitated by stowable tables.

This coupled with our incredible colleagues delivering a world-class service, following the launch of our First Service Specialists scheme, as well as the many benefits of flying First such as First Wing entry, access to our award-winning lounges including our Concorde Room and priority boarding, means we truly believe we offer a winning combination in delivering an extraordinary experience for our customers,” said British Airways’ Chief Customer Officer, Calum Laming.
According to the airline, the suite’s ambient lighting subtly incorporates the British Airways speed marque, a nod to the airline’s heritage and its Concorde legacy.
