Review: Cathay Pacific First Class B747-400
CX702 Hong Kong to Bangkok
B747-412 B-HKF
After 1 hours or so at the lounge, it is time to head to Gate 34 to board. Another P&W B747-412 (Ex Singapore Air) at the gate awaiting its passenger doing her duty to Bangkok today as CX 701
Note the A380 taxi out behind the mighty Jumbo Jet.
A nice day in HKIA with clear weather.
Another look of the oval shaped front of my ride.
Once onboard, I ordered a Mimosa to lighten up the mood. It must have been over 24 hours since the start of my journey now.
Empty First Class today with only 2 passangers (include myself) Plenty of picture taking opportunity!
Overview of Cathay First Class Suites
View from front to back. CX infrequently use their B747-400 on regional flight. It is definity a delight to fly the Jumbo across SE Asia.
Ample legroom. Well fit persons 6"6
Excellent Privacy and a good balance of ambience with semi-open atmosphere.
Nuts and more Mimosa were offered after takeoff.
First Course: Lobster Medallion. Sadly I was too full from the buffet at the Pier. Can't even finish this... 🙁Seat with food and view = Haven in the sky !
Main Course: Silver Cod Fish with shittake Mushroom, usual CX Excellent standard.
It turned out my fellow passenger Scott, is from Sydney, Australia and also a fan of airplane trips and visit Airliners.net!
Lavatory of First Class visit
Dessert to end on a sweet note of my journey.
Oh, I wish this flight never ends with sight like this! Long live the Jumbo Jet!
With scenes like rice pattie field, we know we are on our descent to Bangkok, Thailand
Arrived and taxi past Orient Thai B747-300
A final photo with CX Family 🙂
