My seat is on the last row in Economy Class. Fortunately I was sitting next to a Singapore Girl; the plane was carrying extra crew and some of them had to sit in passenger seats.
Full Economy Class
Once the plane reached cruising level, the party started!
The Crew came round with champagne for each passenger, we toasted to The B747, Queen of the Sky!
I was able to walk around the B747

Everyone is socializing in The First Class Cabin
After visiting First Class, I proceed to the upper deck
Very quiet and very private; It is amazing how well the plane is maintained!
Meanwhile, the party intensity level has gone way higher!
After 2 hours, The Crew finally managed to have all the passengers sit down; then a generous meal was served.
Economy Class meal
Stir Fried Fish with Vegetable.
Special Thank you B747 cake!
Soon, we started our descent. The flight time was extended by 30 minutes to allow for the meal service.
With a smooth touch down of Flight SQ748 in the evening; we have all made it into the history books of Singapore Airlines.
For many of the passengers, their love of aviation and commercial aircraft started with The B747....This is the aircraft most of us have grown up with....it certainly has been a great way to fly!
All the passengers gave a huge round of applause for The Queen of the Sky!
Thank you to Singapore Airlines and The B747-400

Captain Roger Loh at his office the last time on the B747-400 pax model.
It was a fantastic, yet emotional, history making event today. Many friendships were re-united during the flight. Singapore Airlines lived up to the high expectations; delivering their usual outstanding service throughout the flight. A smooth touchdown in Singapore by The Queen of The Skies ended the event on a high note.
I hope you enjoyed the SIA Journey with me.
