Lounge: The Wing (First Class Lounge)
The Wing dining lounge offer a choice of A la Carte and the famous Peninsula Hotel catered buffet.
I must say the buffet is excellent, with lot of varieties and very tasty. I appreciate the self service as I don’t have wait for a waiter to be served in a rush and I can eat as much and however I like.
As LAX is a premium long haul flight, the boarding gate is conveniently located at Gate 4, a short walk from the lounge.
Onboard First Class of B777-367/ER. A cabin no need introduction. Recently, Cathay refurbished the First cabin with an updated look.
As this is an complete overnight flight, it is not the best for photography. I have managed just a few shots.
Enjoy a glass of mimosa and amuse bouche before takeoff
After the caviar service, I went straight to bed. It was one of the widest bed in the sky and I slept comfortably for 8 hours!
Waking up for breakfast in bed. Service was excellent and much attention to detail.
Sun is ready to set over the Pacific after waking up.
Awesome Chinese breakfast dining “Yum Cha” Cathay does the best Dim Sum. Period.
Conclusion
Despite a complete overnight flight, Cathay Pacific deliver every tick box and beyond. Service was consistently good and polite. Cathay crew seems to have mastered the First Class passenger experience and every needs was anticipated and met. Cathay may not have the flashiest product in First Class, but it is very wide, comfortable and totally underrated.
Thank you Cathay for the wonderful First Class experience. Flying is total glam and joy with Cathay First Class.
