Air France La Premiere Flight Review
After an amazing visit of the Salon La Premiere, i was taken to the plane by my Air France concierge lady. The B777-300/ER is parked remotely today means walking on the stairs to board.
My concierge lady make sure the crew are ready for me. She paged them through her walkie-talkie, a service detail haven't seen before! Everything (formality, baggage, transfer) has been taken care of, just what a VIP would need!
A photo with my lovely private Air France concierge who took care of me so well.

Welcome onboard La Premiere!
My La Premiere Suite seat 1L
There are only 4 seats in the front end. Privacy and exclusivity is definitely maintained.
Most of Air France B777-300/ER has this new cabin (also new Business Class).
My flight is full in all cabin. We have 298 pax in total. In fact all three flights to Tokyo was full that day!
Elegant Extra: Table lamp!
Vincent, the La Premiere steward came to introduce himself and asked me whether I'd like to have Caviar as boarding canapes! "Oui!!!"
I was offered Taittinger Champagne 2005 to go with Caviar.
Having a fabulous moment settling down in La Premiere.
Givenchy Comfort kit (unisex) and sleepware.
A huge drawer for storage.
Ready to go!
We took off on Rwy 09L tracking North East direction.
There are forward and downward camera to choose from the IFE.
Climbing out of massive CDG complex.
Vincent, offer me the onboard food and beverage menu.
I was really expecting this, knowing how great French gastronomy is! Air France just can't fail in this area!
I was so happy to see the menu and would love to try EVERYTHING!
It is not often I like everything on the menu!
You may wonder why there are only French/western option on a flight to Tokyo? La Premiere passenger can pre-order Japanese - Oriental cuisine. But with such great French menu, no one ordered!
Designer tableware with the timeless Air France winged Seahorse logo
My starter: Foie Gras
Paired well with a glass of white wine.
Since I was rather full after a full 3 courses lunch in the Salon La Premiere, I decided to take a nap after the rich starter and have a full dinner later.
Our flying time was 11 hours.
Vincent brought this huge quilt and mattress ready to lay down my bed.
La Premiere bedding are provided by Sofitel.
The quilt are wonderfully soft and fluffy. The bedding quality is top class!
With curtain half drawn
Most elegant and stylish bedding.
A GoPro selfie with curtain fully drawn for full privacy.
The bed was extremely comfortable and warm. The curtain goes all the way up to the ceiling for full privacy.
You're in your own "bubble" space, you're not confined in cubicles with doors and walls.
It feels really relaxed and cozy!
After about 3 hours afternoon nap, I woke up and went to the Business Class galley for some snack offered in their basket. Full of French goodies!
Love my own space enclosured by the curtain, I opted for some IFE with the provided BOSE headset.
Soon, dinner began while in bed!
Cream of Asparagus soup
Caviar with Salmon Tartare
It taste so amazing!
My main course arrived!
Confit de canard (Duck Confit top with mash potato)
WOWww.....it taste so tender and full of flavor, I literally cried after tasting it.
Best dish in the air ever!
After an extreme satisfying dinner, I skipped cheese and opt for dessert. It was a choice between coffee and lemon tart.
Food was top notch! Probably the best airplane food I've ever had. The gastronomy standard on Air France is second to none!
I was invited by the captain to see the cockpit during cruise at FL350 over Siberia. We experienced just 2 hours of darkness before the sun rise again while flying East chasing the rising sun.
Our total route today which fly at 60 degrees North latitude with favorable wind condition (sometimes fly up to 71 degrees North)
After the gorgeous sunrise, I went back to my seat and watched a movie on the excellent IFE system.
Shortly, we're only 1.5 hours out from Tokyo, it is breakfast time (although it is midnight in Europe)
It is another grand dining affair. Air France offer full breakfast, not the skimpy continental breakfast.
Sauteed Asparagus Omelette.
With selection of FAUCHON Tea
Beautiful silverware
After a smooth touch down on the main runway 34L of Narita, we arrived at our destination and time to bid farewell to the excellent La Premiere cabin. I almost didn't want to end the flight.
A memorabilia photo with Vincent, my steward who is extremely attentive looking after me.
With the cockpit and cabin crew.
Sunny Narita morning. An Air France agent was waiting for me at the aircraft door to expedite the arrival formality process. I was on the street within 10 minutes in Tokyo!
Conclusion
This was the most anticipated flight for me this year and you can see from the photos, I was having my Best Inflight Experience in every ways!
