The Qatar Airways Premium Lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport exclusively welcomes the airline’s Business and First Class passengers. (Elite and oneworld passengers do not have access, and may use the Salon Galaxy as an alternative.)
Opened in December 2016, the Qatar Airways Premium Lounge is the newest lounge at the venerable Terminal 1. Qatar Airways has completely transformed a drab space, formerly occupied by a contract lounge and offices, into a luxurious haven.
Here are some photos I took during my quick morning visit before my flight on the Business Class Qsuite to Doha.
The lounge is huge in its size with many areas include a few different seating area, 2 outdoor terraces, dining area, business center, shower and prayer room.
The lounge offers a hot buffet, a full bar, barista coffee, as well as a full-service restaurant with table service offering a wide variety of exquisitely plated international dishes.
For breakfast, I was offered the below menu to choose from, as well from the well stocked buffet.
There are 2 amazing outdoor terraces; one for dining one for smoking or socializing. I can only imagine how popular these terraces are during the summer.
Separate prayer room is available for both male and female.
Note that, like all other non-Schengen lounges, the Qatar Airways Premium Lounge is located before security. Allow ample time to walk over to the departure satellite and go through security at the gate.
My impression
I have a short 20 minute stay in the lounge due to a very early morning departure. But I was very impressed by the luxury offering from this lounge. Due to the strict admission policy, the lounge is never crowded during my stay. I received amazing service and attention. I think Business Class passengers would really benefit from this amazing lounge. Qatar Airways is now able to offer its passenger a consistent luxury experience right from the lounge before the flight takes off! Allow plenty of time ahead of your flight to fully enjoy this luxury lounge!
