My Turkish Airlines Business Class experience started from their fantastic lounge at Istanbul!
As you enter the lounge, you are directed left to scan your boarding pass through Electronic gates. This a very popular, very busy lounge at almost all times of day. The lounge open 24/7 to support Turkish round-the-clock operations.
Spanning two full floors and featuring many amenities found in the world’s best first class lounges, the Turkish Airlines International Lounge in Istanbul is worth an extended transit in IST. Make sure you have extra time to discover this massive lounge loaded with full amenities like movie theatre, pool table, self-playing piano, library, mini-golf , massage service, kids area and day room and spa!
In the center of the lounge is food. A lot of delicious food and drinks!
Grilled meats, paninis, wonderful salads, Turkish mezze, olives, homemade pastas…and best of all, Pide. Pide is a delicious flatbread with various toppings, like a Turkish pizza.
I really like the Turkish kebabs and the unique Turkish pasta on offer.
Make sure you explore around the lounge as all the food offering and live cooking stations are scatter around the floor. There is a Far East cooking station feature Japanese food this month!
There is even an olive tree with many types of olive on offer to try!
There are also a great varity of cakes and Turkish dessert, to go with Turkish coffee, tea, fresh juices and a range of alcoholic drinks.
The lounge has expanded a few years ago which see it doubled its size with a new lower floor opened loaded with mini-golf, mini-car racing, shower and day room.If you're transiting between 4-7 hours in Istanbul and holds a Business Class ticket, you're eligible for a day room in the lounge. The day rooms are located downstairs in the corner.
Also, there are several masseuse floating around the lounge. They offer passengers free massage in their seat.
If you are staring your trip in Istanbul, Turkish Airlines have created a special entrance for you to clear security and passport control, emptying you directly into the lounge. The special check-in and channel is towards the end of the terminal building.
You gain entry to this lounge if you’re flying on Turkish Airlines Business Class, Star Alliance business class or hold a Star Alliance gold card.
