“We are very proud to be the first A330neo operator in the Americas. This new aircraft will play a key role in the expansion of our international markets supporting our strategy of having a modern and fuel-efficient fleet.”
John Rodgerson – CEO of Azul
Azul now has four more A330neo aircraft to be delivered, all leased through Avolon, who has 15 of the aircraft on order.
Route wise, Azul plans to use the A330neo to strengthen their international route network between Brazil, Europe and the United States.
Airbus notes the A330neo is capable of offering a 25% reduction in fuel burn per seat compared to previous generation competing aircraft thanks to its new engines and updated aerodynamics.
