  1. Sam, do you have any news on the retrofitted 77W in Turkish Airline? I just booked some award tickets of IST-SFO for the next year-end holidays and noticed the seat map of business class has changed to 1-2-1 configuration which is currently 2-3-2. Not sure if the new seats on 787 or 350 can fit into 77W.

  2. Hey, Sam! 🙂 When do you check the Lounges in Istanbul New Airport and Turkish Airlines new 787-9? Or do you wait for the A350-900 in March? They fly 13 april to London Heathrow and 14 april to Dubai with there new A350-900

  3. Hello Sam,
Which economy seats do you suggest from Istanbul to Denpasar?

Central seats or next to window?
    Before or after the wings?

    Thanks

    Simone

  4. Hey Sam, do you know anything about the seat map problem on the Turkish 787? Systematicalky all the F seats are shown as occupied. At all flights, all long haul destinations every single departure…. Making it impossible to book a couple seat. Me and others have pointed that out to TK but they just ignore it. Can you help? 🙂

    1. Thanks for sharing this problem, I just checked some of the seat map and indeed F is blocked. I will try to pass on this info but cannot guarantee it will work.

    2. Hey Matthew, did you ever find a solution to this? I have been pestering Turkish Airlines about this problem as well but can’t figure out how to book that aisle. Let me know!

  5. Looks very cramped. QR manages to keep the same 1-2-1 configuration and even forgoes the central overhead bins to increase the sense of space in the cabin. I wish TK had gone down the same route. The new hard product on board as well as the new airport lounges now make it cleat that TK is definitely not going down the “5 Star” airline route.

  6. Small correction, first international flight will be IST-DPS on 17th of Jul (cannot be booked), but I’m booked in 2A on the return leg DPS-IST same day

  7. I really think the design of the middle seats is stupid. The couple seats have those big dividers so you can’t talk to your travelling companion without leaning forward. they should have used a divider that can be lowered and raised.
