A Belavia Boeing 737-300 operating flight B2847 was performing its landing sequence when it overran the runway at Zhuliany airport in Kiev, Ukraine. The runway is 7579 ft/2310m long and the aircraft came to a stop at 100m past the end of the paved surface.

The aircraft involved is EW-336PA, which is a 24.5 year old 737-3Q8, rolled out from the runway on July 12 at 23:40 from Minsk. None of the 139 passengers and five crew members were injured.
Also in the news is Sky Express ATR 42 (SX-FOR) rolled off the elevated edge of the runway during line-up/backtrack at Naxos Airport (LGNX), Greece. None of the 3 crew or 49 passengers were injured.

My flight LO 756 was cancelled due to this incident. Flight from Warsaw LO 755 actually was half way to Kyiv when it returned to Warsaw after this happened. The airport was a mess yesterday. They had cancelled approximately 10 flights. Italians and Ukrainians screaming. I have footage. It was quite the scene.
