Should You Buy Marriott Bonvoy Points?

As shown in the table above, now is the best time to purchase Marriott Bonvoy Points. At the point of writing, I am able to find some great redemption opportunities using points at the purchase value of 0.83 US cent/point.

Here is an example:

St Regis Maldives – Overwater Villa With Pool

Redeem with 95k points ($788) instead of paying $1,568 in cash

As a general rule of thumb, I will advise you to make a comparison between the selling price of your desired hotel and the cost of redemption (redemption rate * 0.83 US cent) before you make a points purchase.

If you have a habit of buying Marriott points to redeem hotel nights, now is a good time to stock up some points.

  1. We do all know this program is worthless. Why would anyone ever trade their hard earned cash for these worthless points. Why would any blogger give Marriott the benefit of the double and even post this ?
