While the Coronavirus Disease is rapidly spreading in Asian countries, we also cannot ignore that there are already more than 1100 confirmed cases in Italy. Two major US carriers, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, are responding to this situation by suspending all flights to and from Milan, Italy.

At this point, none of the airlines allow a full refund if your flight is not cancelled.

If Your Flight is Cancelled
At the point of writing, American Airlines, Delta or your travel agency, should have already reached out to you to provide alternative arrangements.
If you think that the new arrangement is not suitable for you, first go online to search for some flight alternatives. Then you may contact the airline company or travel agency to let them make the new arrangements for you.
If you do not want to travel anymore, both airlines will now allow you to get a full refund for the affected tickets.
The other US carrier flying to Milan, United Airlines, have not made any changes to their schedule at this point.

FYI, Emirates is offering to waive the fee for changing certain ticket dates before 31 March 2020.
Thank you for the objective information. Not that easy to find it, suprizingly considering the situation. Good luck in your studies and in your flying.
How will the flight re-scheduling work if you have bought a RT ticket to London from the US and have a separate BA flight from London to Italy ( Venice and back from Rome) Will they consider waiving all the tickets?
I am scheduled to travel on May 2nd. Hopefully, things may get better. Keeping fingers crossed.
I would suggest contacting BA directly to see what they can do.
