While many airlines are drastically reducing or completely suspending their services worldwide, amid the coronavirus crisis, Qatar Airways is doing just the opposite! They have added 10,000 seats to their network as of March 24th.
They have added flights to Paris, Perth and Dublin from Doha; they will be operating the Airbus A380 on services to Frankfurt, London Heathrow and Perth to increase capacity.
“Figures for the last seven days show load factors of over 80 percent for flights to the UK, France and Germany, with a fall to 36 percent for outbound services from those countries, illustrating the demand for homeward travel, Qatar Airways has flown more than 100,000 passengers home in the last seven days while 72 per cent of passengers carried on 24 March were nationals flying to their country of origin.”

“Working with embassies around the world, the airline has operated one-off services from destinations such as Phnom Penh, Denpasar, Manila and Kuala Lumpur to Europe. More than 5,000 passengers were flown home by these services over the last week, a number that is expected to more than triple over the next week.” a Qatar Airways spokesperson said.
Qatar Airways is currently operating flights to 75 destinations, though this number may reduce as nations introduce tighter restrictions. The airline has published the full list of destinations they operate to.

How about Qatar airways giving our refunds. Although I was charged around 200$ fine for my refund. I still have not recived it. Also now if I send an e mail only recive automatic reply.
As there are so few airlines running even a partial service ,Qatar are obviously hoovering up the stranded nationalities over the globe! Its all good as those who are stranded and need to get some where have an opportunity to do so! Opportunitism maybe on Qatar part but also ,needed as so few airlines operating!
Have a friend who is a flight attendant on Qatar. My friend and a lot of her colleagues are scared shitless right now. What Qatar should do is fly two sets of flight attendants and pilots. One set will rest going and the other set will rest coming back. This will decrease their risk drastically. No need for layovers. Come on Qatar do this!
