The Alaska Mileage Plan has just announced that they will be extending all their elite status’ by a year, through 31st December 2021. In addition, all elite qualifying miles, earned from January 2020 to April 2020, will be rolled over to next year; members will have a good head start to earn status in 2021.
As Alaska Airlines will be joining oneworld in summer 2021, having your status extended through December 2021 will entitle you the oneworld tier benefits.
Requalification Bonus Miles For MPV Gold 75K Members to be Lifted
For MPV Gold 75k members, who will automatically attain the status in 2021, Alaska Mileage Plan will not be giving the 50,000 qualification bonus miles.
Nevertheless, the Alaska Mileage Plan has told members to look forward to more information on earning additional elite qualifying miles in the coming weeks.

Alaska Status Match Three Months Trial Extended Through The End of 2021
The Alaska Mileage Plan has an active status match challenge, where participants will be given equivalent status for three months. Status will be extended if the challenge requirement is met within those three months.
For participants who have enrolled in this status challenge, between 1st December 2019 and 31st March 2020, the three months trial will be extended through the end of 2021. This means that you are very likely getting oneworld elite status in summer 2021 when Alaska joins oneworld.
Extension of Alaska Companion Certificates
