  1. Hey guys,

has anyone tried to change the ticket under this condition to an “open ticket”? Does this work if you would like to fly after May 2021?

  2. This so-called promotion is a huge disappointment and a source of frustration for my family for the last few weeks. 😡 They promise a 40% discount to all healthcare workers. My mother is an American healthcare worker and she wanted to use this discount to come visit us in Istanbul. First, Turkish Airlines asked for her medical ID, then she had to wait for the feedback for 7 days. They said: we accept your ID, here is the code. But it wasn’t working no matter how many times we changed the dates. So my mother called Turkish airlines. They said, that my mother was choosing correct dates and correct fare. She just needed to send her ID again and wait for another feedback!!
Nothing came, so she called them, and called them again. Last call lasted for 1.5 hours, and she had to call them after her 16 hour shift in the hospital, when she is dead tired.
During that call she had received an email: Thank you for being a healthcare worker, we will be happy to provide you with a 40% discount! … and NO code!
So I posted all this info on Facebook, they replied to me, and asked to send her file number in pm. I did, and then they said: your code was provided. I replied: it doesn’t work, just give us another one, a working one! They replied: someone from the team will contact you! … and NO reaction for few days! NONE!
I wish we didn’t even try to use this promotion, as now tickets are more expensive and flights options are longer!

What a shame to use healthcare workers as a part of your promotion, but in reality to treat them so badly and dishonestly.

  3. One can only two discount codes: one for domestic and one for International flights. One code is good for one PNR (max 4 pax including the health worker himself/herself). So practically this promo is one time only. Discount only applies to base fare. And this promo only applies to Turkish health workers (Ministry of Health issued ID must be presented at check-in). In summary, super sounding, super looking but junk promotion….

    1. “The campaign is valid for health workers all over the world. Turkish Citizenship is not compulsory.”
“Discounts are applied to base fares and the discount rate is 40%. The discounts are not applied to taxes, and are valid for a limited number of seats.”
“Departure dates and return dates between 29/07/2020 – 04/08/2020, 28/10/2020 – 02/11/2020 and 15/12/2020 – 31/12/2020 are not valid and are excluded from the offer.”

I am based in UK , uploaded my hospital ID card. And I have been given discount codes.

  4. Same question as Ken. Turkish fares are often low with a big Carrier-imposed surcharge (YR), so if that’s not discounted too this isn’t much of a deal.

  5. There are some important details to this promotion. It is unclear if healthcare workers outside of Turkey even qualify.

The promotion codes distributed within the scope of the campaign are limited and the number of codes is determined as 100000 for both domestic and international flights. Distributing of codes will be stopped when it reaches the determined number.

Within the scope of campaign, the promotion code can be used by only health workers who are registered with the Ministry of Health or health institutions accredited by the Ministry of Health. Family physicians and paramedics may also participate. The personnel identity card included in the related form must include the name and/or emblem of the organization, unit, occupation, name-surname, date of birth.

Departure dates and return dates between 29/07/2020 – 04/08/2020, 28/10/2020 – 02/11/2020 and 15/12/2020 – 31/12/2020 are not valid and are excluded from the offer.

The health workers who are eligible for promocode can benefit from the offer together with three people. In the scope of campaign, maximum 4 people, including the health worker can issue tickets on the same PNR
