Emirates Resume Flights to 58 Cities, Negative COVID-19 Test Required on Certain Flights

Emirates is restarting passenger flights to following destinations.

• Cairo (from 1st July)
• Tunis (from 1st July)
• Glasgow (from 15th July)
• Geneva (from 15th July)
• Malé (from 16th July)
• Los Angeles (from 22nd July)
• Dar es Salaam (from 1st August)
• Prague and Sao Paulo (from 2nd August)
• Boston (from 15th August)

“We continue to work closely with all stakeholders to resume flight operations while ensuring that all necessary measures to safeguard the health and safety of our customers and employees are in place” Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer said.

This will take the airline’s network to 58 cities by mid-August, including 20 points in Europe and 24 points in the Asia Pacific.

COVID-19 PCR Test Required To Board Certain Emirates Flights

If you are flying with Emirates from the countries or airports specified below, you must carry a negative PCR certificate; this must be issued by a local government approved laboratory to be accepted on the flight. If the UAE government has specified a designated laboratory in your country of origin, you must get your test certificate from that lab. Certificates must be issued no more than 96 hours before departure:

• Afghanistan
• Bangladesh
• Egypt
• India
• Iran
• Nigeria
• Pakistan
• Philippines
• Russian Federation
• Sudan
• Tanzania
• USA – Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Orlando (MCO), including passengers originating from California, Florida and Texas connecting to an Emirates flight to Dubai.

All travellers to Dubai, including passengers with a connecting flight, must complete this health declaration form and give it to the staff at check-in. This form will also be available at check-in.

You will also need to complete the quarantine undertaking form given to you on-board, if Dubai is your final destination. Hand this form to the Dubai Health Authority staff on arrival.

Emirates Announce Repatriation Flights to India

Emirates will be operating special repatriation flights to five Indian cities between 12th and 26th July. This is to assist stranded Indians in getting home, it is also to assist residents of the UAE, that are currently in India, to return to the UAE.

The flights will be operated to Bengaluru, Delhi, Kochi, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram, between 12th and 26th July 2020 at the below flight frequencies

• Bengaluru: twice daily flights
• Delhi: twice daily flights
• Kochi: twice daily flights
• Mumbai: thrice daily flights
• Thiruvananthapuram: once daily flight

The flights to Bengaluru and Mumbai are subject to state government approval.

Flights can be booked on: emirates.com, through travel agents, Emirates’ sales offices and contact centres. Passengers must meet all the entry requirements of their destination to be allowed to board the flights.

Flights from Dubai to India
Only Indian citizens stranded in the UAE will be allowed to fly from Dubai to the five Indian destinations.

Flights from India to Dubai
These flights will be available for UAE nationals and residents with prior entry approval. For residents of Dubai, approval must be from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDFRA). For residents of other emirates of the UAE, Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) approval is required.

All passengers travelling from airports in India to Dubai are also required to carry a negative Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) certificate, this must be issued by a laboratory authorised by the government of India, to be accepted on the flight. Certificates must be issued no more than 96 hours before departure.
