Spirit Airlines A320neo Skidded Off Taxiway at Baltimore

Today a Spirit Airlines Airbus A320neo skidded off the taxiway at Baltimore/Washington International Airport, after a powerful winter storm created slick conditions.

The one-year-old aircraft, with registration N916NK, had just performed an overnight flight (NK696 – from Las Vegas) when upon landing at runway 28 at Baltimore Airport it skidded off taxiway “Golf”.

After safely landing this morning, and entering the taxiway, the nose wheel of Spirit Airlines flight 696 slowly slid onto the grass, while attempting to turn a corner during its taxi to the gate.

According to a statement issued by Spirit, 111 passengers and crew were onboard the aircraft and there were no injuries.
