Iceland’s PLAY Air to Launch Flights in June

New Icelandic carrier PLAY Air has begun ticket sales, with their first flight scheduled for June. Flying to seven destinations across Europe initially, PLAY will expand to the United States sometime in early 2022. The airline has been formed in the wake of WOW Air’s collapse, with former executives partly founding PLAY. Operating on a similar low-cost model, PLAY will utilise three Airbus A321neo aircraft which are being leased from AerCap.
