Lufthansa B787-9 Route Update
The Lufthansa new Boeing 787-9 with the registration D-ABPA will be delivered to Lufthansa following certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) this summer.
According to Lufthansa, the Boeing 787-9 "Berlin" will have an improved cabin product - including direct aisle access for all guests in Business Class.
Following several weeks of planned cabin refurbishments at Lufthansa’s maintenance in Frankfurt, the aircraft will be deployed initially on domestic Germany routes for training purposes. The first intercontinental scheduled destination of the Lufthansa “Dreamliner” will be Toronto.
In total, the Lufthansa Group has ordered 32 Boeing “Dreamliner” with delivery between 2022 and 2027.
Condor's New Cabin Interior on A330neo
From fall 2022, guests aboard Condor's new long-haul A330neo will experience an interior that sets new standards. The aircraft will take off in a three-class configuration: A total of 310 seats will be available, 30 for Business Class, 64 for Premium Economy Class and 216 for Economy Class.
Guests will experience the new cabin for the first time in fall 2022, when approximately one Airbus A330neo will join the fleet per month, replacing the current Boeing 767 long-haul fleet.
The Condor A330neo will then take off on long-haul routes in winter 2022. The first destinations include the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Seattle, USA.
"With the new cabin design, we are focusing on modern elegance and the color-set creates a clear reference to our new brand identity. Our guests' holiday begins with boarding and continues with the distinctive Condor product and first-class service," says Ralf Teckentrup, CEO of Condor.
Business Class
The new Business Class offers 30 full lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration with direct aisle access for all guests. The seat converts to a 1.99-metre lie-flat. Business Class guests have access to the latest movies, series, podcasts, and games, all accessible on 17.3-inch screen in 4K mode, with touchscreen and remote control.
Premium Economy and Economy
In Premium Economy Class, guests enjoy an extra seat pitch of almost 15 centimeters more, compared to Economy Class and a greater backrest angle of up to 15 centimeters.
Both the Premium Economy Class and Economy Class seats have 13.3-inch in-seat 4K monitors with touchscreens, which can be used to enjoy the in-flight-program. Condor uses a 2-4-2 seating configuration in both classes.
Visually, the new cabin product impresses with a stylish color concept that focuses on the colors "Condor Marina" and "Condor Earth" as well as subtle stripes as a recurring element. This includes a striped badge on every seat as well as uniformly striped headrest covers in Business and Premium Economy Class.
