SAUDIA and flyDubai have unveiled their new Business Class cabins at the annual Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai.
SAUDIA New Business Class
SAUDIA has revealed its latest Business Class seat, the VantageSOLO suite to be fitted on its new Airbus A321 XLR aircraft.
The VantageSOLO suite offers an increase in privacy compared to previous Business Class seats. The seat features a privacy shield around the back and an additional door in the aisle, providing passengers with a secluded and private space. These new seats can also be fully reclined into bed mode. The suite includes an 18” screen for enhanced in-flight entertainment and increased storage space.
“At SAUDIA, we are constantly striving to find innovative ways to enhance our renowned guest experience. The VantageSOLO suite represents the pinnacle of comfort, privacy, and luxury, and we believe it will provide our passengers with an unparalleled level of comfort and convenience. Our new business class offering is a testament to SAUDIA’s commitment to continuously improving our products and services to deliver a superior customer journey underpinned by the latest technological developments,” said Captain Ibrahim Koshy, CEO of SAUDIA.
The new Airbus A321 XLR aircraft will operate on routes across Europe, the Indian subcontinent, and Africa, including Milan, Barcelona, Brussels, Rome, the Maldives, and Dakar.
In addition to the VantageSOLO suite, SAUDIA has also announced its new economy class seat, the z400. The seat comes equipped with a 13” screen and a seat recline.
Flydubai New Business Class Suite
Flydubai has also unveiled its new Business class cabin with a sliding suite door and direct aisle access for every passenger. The new business class suite will be installed on their aircraft starting in the fourth quarter of 2023, with the first aircraft entering into service by November 2023.
The new Business Class suites will be available on up to six aircraft by the first quarter of 2024 and will be scheduled on select longer flights around the Flydubai network.
Flydubai’s Boeing 737s will feature 10 suites in Business Class with all passengers having direct aisle access, as offered on many wide-body aircraft. Designed especially for single-aisle aircraft, Flydubai became the launch customer for the Safran VUE seat.
“flydubai is committed to exceeding expectations. Today, we are proud to unveil a new premium product which rivals the Business Class experience offered by many airlines on wide-body aircraft. We will continue to invest in innovation to enhance the customer experience across our growing fleet.”
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO at Flydubai
This will be the first time the Dubai-based carrier will offer enclosed suites in Business Class. Passengers will be able to choose their own level of privacy based on their mood, from a fully-closed suite experience to a more traditional open-plan seat for greater social interaction.
In addition to privacy, the Business Suite also features discreet and thoughtful stowage solutions to keep personal items readily accessible while maintaining a clutter-free living space. Moreover, ambient lighting, set into the shell of the seat, has been incorporated under the ottoman and inside personal stowage areas.
Passengers will also be able to connect their headphones to enjoy the in-flight entertainment program on a 17-inch 4K built-in touchscreen.
