Note: These are time-sensitive deals, therefore, promotional award tickets are subject to availability due to limited seat capacity.
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is currently offering a great sale for reward flights, on routes to and from the United States at a flat 50% discount when you book tickets using Virgin points.
The 50% discount applies to Economy, Premium, and Upper-Class seats on Virgin-operated flights to the US, which are typically the highest-cost redemptions in terms of taxes and charges.
- Flight Booking: March 14 to March 20, 2024
- Travel Dates: March 14 through June 30, 2024

Additional Fees & Taxes
According to Virgin Atlantic, only the number of Virgin points required is reduced by 50%, and not the taxes, fees, and carrier-imposed surcharges. When you search availability for any specific flight, you will see the discounted pricing with the additional charges.
All customers need to pay taxes, fees, and carrier-imposed surcharges – which vary according to destination, and cabin. Even though some airlines, including British Airways, offer the option to reduce carrier-imposed surcharges by paying more points, this is not the case with Virgin Atlantic.
Is This Offer Valid on Virgin Atlantic’s Partner Airlines?
This sale is valid for redemption travel only on Virgin Atlantic and not for travel on partner airlines such as Delta, ANA, etc, across peak and off-peak times, and applies across Economy, Premium Economy, and Upper-Class redemptions.
Virgin Atlantic’s partner airlines have lower or non-existent fuel surcharges but this offer isn’t valid for travel on those airlines. Also, you can save fuel surcharges and taxes on Virgin Atlantic Awards by booking two one-way flights instead of two-way flights.
Flight Delay – Know Your Rights
Did you have a delayed or canceled flight? You may be entitled to compensation with SkyCop. Don’t pass up this opportunity!
The European Regulation EC261 rule is an extensive bit of legislation that requires airlines to compensate passengers in the event of:
- Denied boarding
- Flight cancellation
- Long delay of flights (three or more hours)
Under EC261 you may be eligible for compensation reaching up to EUR 600 if your flight is delayed by more than 3 hours or gets canceled.
SkyCop can help you if you have a flight disruption within the EU (on any airline), leaving the EU (on any airline), or arriving in the EU (on an EU airline).
