Just passed Instrument (IFR) Checkride! ✈️
This one means a lot.
I actually gave up on my instrument training back in 2022. Earlier this year, I decided to come back and finish what I started. For the past two months, I put everything else on hold— no trips, no travel — so I could focus entirely on flight training.
At age of 45, I certainly wasn’t the fastest learner. IFR flying demands precision, discipline, and constant multitasking. Flying three instrument approaches back-to-back in the busy Los Angeles airspace was demanding, but incredibly satisfying.
I was definitely nervous during my checkride. There were a few things I wish I could have done better. But today reminded me that persistence matters more than perfection.
Thank you to my instructors, examiners, mentors, my family and everyone who encouraged me along the way. I couldn’t have done it without your support.
One step closer to the next chapter. 💪✈️
