Flying into America’s Dangerous Airport on Aero, a Semi-Private Jet

I joined my flight instructor Tex, who recently got hired at Aero; a luxury all First Class "semi-private" jet company. We flew together to Aspen, Colorado, known as one of the most challenging and tough airports in the U.S.

Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is 7,820 ft in elevation. For most aircraft operations, aircraft must land to the south but take off to the north.

The Aero Embraer 135 has been fitted with just 16 First Class seats in a 1-1 configuration. It has its own FBO at Van Nuys and you can arrive at the airport as little as 20 minutes before the flight. Find out more about my flight on Aero and the unique approach into Aspen Airport in the video.
