The Business One experience is just as special on the ground as it is in the air.
The trip starts from the remarkable Bear Lamp landmark at Doha Hamad International.
Al Mourjan Business Lounge
Al Mourjan Business Lounge at Hamad International Airport is an oasis of calm where you can relax and prepare for your travels ahead. It is one of the top class lounges with very fine details.
Dining area and bar at upper floor.
A la carte dining is offered for lunch and dinner.
I ordered a well cooked steak with béarnaise sauce
After lunch, I went downstairs to further explore this massive lounge. There are several areas downstairs include quiet rest area, a deli, separate smoking area and many different seating. It was very quiet during the early afternoon. The lounge, however is well manned by helpful QR staff, making sure to meet every needs of the customer.

I proceed to gate C11 for boarding at 14:00
Flight QR15
Doha to London
STD 1440
STA 2025
Flight time 7h15mins
Passenger on board: 29/40
FL 340 -> 380
With only 29 passengers, we boarded within 10 minutes and the door is closed for departure. We left the gate 10 minutes early. The boarding process is calm and fast, feels like a private jet boarding experience itself. The seats are very comfortable, more room on the aisle seats and do not feel cramped at all. The privacy is done right without too much or too little. The leather seat has excellent padding and the whole cabin is in almost mint condition.
Seating onboard:
We head out to Rwy34R for takeoff. Passing several interesting Qatar Airways and VIP fleet.
Notice the green tail A320 Al Maha. This is Qatar Airways Saudi startup carrier. It is currently flying for Qatar Airways before going to Saudi start up unit soon.
After a quick takeoff, more cabin photo at initial cruising level FL340
Passenger onboard Business One can dine on demand at anytime during the flight. I was particularly impressed with Nobu as one of the star chef with Qatar Airways.
Our routing today:
I chose to dine first then rest.
A starter: Matsuhisa Shrimp (Nobu designed)
Smoke Salmon
Clear Mushroom and cracked rice soup (Nobu designed)
Prawn Curry Paneer
La Duree dessert and ice cream
Chocolate with tea/coffee service
Qatar Airways offers a really pleasurable dining service. The table was individually set up without using any trays. The meal were presented well and tasted very well.
We were flying at FL350 over Southwest of Iran near Isfahan when I took this photo
With the lovely Qatar Airways crew. Well groomed and trained. We have a total of 6 crews from India, Korea, Bulgaria and Philippines to serve just 29 passengers.
We landed on Rwy 09L with landing over Windsor from an Easterly direction 25 minutes ahead of schedule. Taxied across the whole Heathrow into the best gate at Terminal 4. The deplane process again is super simple and quick, within a few minutes, I cleared immigration thanks to the fast track.
You can view the landing on the video link
Conclusion: Business one experience is seamless, very business friendly and maintains the high standard of Qatar Airways in terms of catering, in-flight service and entertainment. I do notice the grooming standard on Qatar is superb, way above their other Middle East peers. The flight attendants are well groomed and well trained when compared to the other fast growing and fast recruiting Middle East Giants. It is the little finer details set them apart! Many seasoned flyer do notice these details and appreciate them. Qatar Airways is definitely high on my list as my preferred Middle East carriers.
