After an hour in the RAM Casablanca Lounge, it s time to head to gate 11 to board our flight to Doha.

The flight to Doha is boarding from a remote stand so passenger have to be transported by bus.

Business Class passengers have a special VIP van to take them to the plane, avoiding the crowd of the economy bus.

Welcome onboard

First impression of the Royal Air Maroc Business Class cabin onboard B787 looks wide and spacious. With just 3 rows of 2-2-2 forward facing seats, the Business Class cabin have only 18 seats while economy have 256 seats, total capacity is 274 seats.

We have 10 passengers in business cabin and almost full board in Economy Class.

I was really full so I have declined cheese and dessert and want to go sleep straight away.

When the pair seats became fully flat:

The window seat sleeps at a higher position while the aisle seats sleeps in a low position.

This looks rather interesting and many wonder how practical it is?

Well, I've tried both inside and outside positions and found both very comfortable despite the odd looks.

Both position provide good privacy when the seat is raised above or lowered below each other, you don't get to see much. The flat bed is long enough and my toes do not touch to the wall.

The inside (window) seat flat position is slightly more private and comfortable.

It is not a bad design in my opinion. I understand Philippines Airlines also chose these seats on their A330.

I have a sound sleep until 1 hour before landing into Doha.

Before landing, we were served hot snack (Beef Shawarmas) with fruit, yogurt and moroccan sweets.

Again, this snack was not on the menu!

Our route map from Casablanca to Doha, seems we avoided flying over Libya inland area.

We were in a slow holding pattern and eventually arrived on Runway 16L at Doha Hamad International Airport around 22:45pm, 30 minutes behind schedule.

We do not have a contact gate so the deplane is once again, by bus.

Luckily, a separate business class bus take us directly into the terminal without waiting.

Conclusion

I have another very pleasant and solid flight with Royal Air Maroc. Despite the strange seat design, I feel well rested during the flight. The onboard service and food is of good business class quality. I am glad to fly across North Africa and Middle East with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on this journey.
