Hi all, I've decided to give my trip report a new format which is more focus on the photo and video. As they say a photo is worth a thousand words. I feel that most of my viewers are interested in my photos more than my poor English grammar. 😉
This is obviously a quicker way to post and it will allow me to post more flight reports in a shorter period of time. I firmly believe multi media will be the future of presentation. Swipe around the photo gallery in each section to experience my trip!
Singapore Airlines have a dedicated First Class check-in area at Changi which has a separate driveway leading to the check-in area and once checked in; there is a fast track screening and the lounge is just a few step away. The whole process is extremely easy and efficient.
The Private room is the top lounge of Singapore Airlines lounges. It is hidden behind the First Class lounge inside the SilverKris lounge. All First Class passengers are invited to use the Private Room. The Private Room has luxury and an oppulent feel. There is the usual waiter table service and a small buffet spread. During my visit, the lounge was very quiet. I have the pleasure to dine alone and enjoyed bake lobster and ice tea. My only critic is, the lounge lack of private rest area for passenger who are in transit on longer flights. The ground service really shined, I was driven by golf buggy to the gate which is quite far to walk (in Terminal 2, Gate E28)
As consistently with the Private room lounge, the look of the new suite is fantastic with high-end luxury finish. I love how wide the seat is but felt it is a little too short in length. Although this doesn't pose any problem for me, I feel that there are rooms to make it slightly longer for taller passengers.
The meal as usual, is of Singapore Airlines high quality standard and I enjoyed immensely. I had the Teochew (local) cuisine which is quite special to have braised duck at 36,000 feet. Dom or Krug? it is always the question!
The rest of flight was an enjoyable and relaxing one. The flight time was just under 7 hours chasing gorgeous sunset on the right side of the window while flying Westward. I slept for a while and enjoyed a couple of good movies in the comfort of my wide bed.
I love flying on Singapore Airlines. My flight has the usual high quality standard in every aspect; the comfort of seat, crew service delivery and catering. Although I've set a higher expectation flying on Singapore Airlines, I can hardly found any fault on them. It was a good flight in any standard. The only thing perhaps lack of is a bit of personal touch, but this is a subjective measure. I am glad to see Singapore Airlines continue to deliver great service.
A trip between Singapore and Dubai in First Class cost me 59,500 KrisFlyer miles + $150 in taxes and surcharges.
