FARNBOROUGH: Jet Airways orders an additional 75 737 MAX aircraft

Jet Airways has placed an order for an additional 75 Boeing 737 MAX 8s.

The deal, worth $8.8 billion at list prices, was previously listed as an unidentified order.

This is the third time the airline has placed an order for the 737 MAX, taking their order book to 225.

Naresh Goyal, Chairman of Jet Airways, said in a statement:

“The MAX will allow us to offer guests a superior and well differentiated experience using a modern, reliable and fuel efficient fleet. The order also emphasizes Jet Airways’ commitment to the growth and potential of the Indian aviation market”.

Jet Airways received their first 737 MAX 8 in June and has reportedly been incredibly  happy with the type. Performance and operational efficiency has been right on spec, and in some cases, has been exceeding expectations.
