Paris 2019: Air Lease Corporation orders 100 Airbus aircraft

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has signed a letter of intent for 100 Airbus aircraft including the newly announced A321XLR.

Presented during the start of the 2019 Paris Airshow, the order comprises of the following aircraft:

  • 27 A321XLRs
  • 50 A220-300s
  • 23 A321neos

The addition of the A220 provides a relief to the Belfast facility that produces wings for the type, boosting morale and benefits to the roughly 1000 workers involved.

Founded in 2010, this latest order takes ALC’s cumulative orders to 387 Airbus aircraft, making it Airbus’ third largest lessor customer.

  1. Maybe it’s just me, but the top picture looks like a really bad picture of Oscar Munoz and Mitch McConnell with Sean Hannity looking better than he ever has on tv.
