A few oneworld airlines, including American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia and Finnair have joint venture cooperation for flights from the US to Europe. This is the highest level of airline cooperation’s which means these airlines share profits on specific routes, sell tickets on each others flights and also build the network together.
The good news for travellers is that the joint venture can often lead to great fares in the market. Currently, we are seeing some good fares for flights from cities in the US to Madrid, Spain.

Bottom Line
This deal provides a great fare considering there are many direct flights and the base fare is low. A majority portion of the cost is taxes and carrier surcharges. Those charges could add up to about $1,300, which is relatively high.
For those who want to get the advantage of this deal, I recommend do it fast. Not so many dates are still available and not every website shows the lowest fare at this time.
