On September 30th 2019, a Moçambique Expresso Embraer ERJ-145 performing its landing sequence in Maputo, Mozambique skidded off the runway.
The aircraft, registered C9-MEH, was operating flight TM165 from Nacala to Maputo with 25 passengers and four crew members on-board when the incident occurred.
Weather data presents gusting cross winds for runway 05, where the aircraft landed, likely contributing to the aircraft skidding off the side.

Photos of the incident capture the aircraft at rest in soft bushes, however the extent of the damage, or if there is any, is yet to be determined.
Moçambique Expresso states the pilots felt a quick and sudden slip of the aircraft and attempted to correct the movement, however the aircraft still departed the side of the runway.
An investigation has been opened by the airline and appropriate authorities to determine the full cause of the incident.
