The Emirates A380 ‘UAE in Space’ mission livery (A6-EEH) made its official operational debut November 22nd. It took off to its first destination Melbourne, Australia as flight EK 408.
The Emirates A380 special livery pays tribute to the UAE’s first space mission, it celebrates the nation’s ambitions to become a hub for space exploration and research. The aircraft is adorned with an image of an astronaut in front of Earth and the International Space Station (ISS) as well as a quote from Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which says:
The sky is only the beginning.

Emirates published the design a day after Hazzaa AlMansoori, the UAE’s first Emirati astronaut and hero, came back to the UAE after a successful space mission, on October 13th.
