Flying Blue Promo Rewards

From now until 14th January 2019, Flying Blue is selling miles at a 75% bonus – 1.57 Euro cents/mile. Below is the summary for this promotion:

  • Tiered bonus in this promotion:
    – Buy 4,000+ miles, get a 50% bonus
    – Buy 10,000+ miles, get a 60% bonus
    – Buy 30,000+ miles, get a 75% bonus
  • Cost per mile with 75% Bonus = 1.57 Euro cent
  • Explorer members (non-elite members) may only purchase up to 75k base miles in any calendar year. Should you wish to maximise your purchase, you will need to buy 75k base miles + 56,250 bonus miles (total: 131,250 miles) at a cost of €2,062.50.
  • Elite members may purchase an unlimited number of miles, per calendar year, however maximum bonus miles available are capped at 100k miles for Platinum and 75k for Gold members.

I think the code share nexus between AF/KLM and Qantas is wonderful, but has any QFFers any idea on how best to utilise QFPoints to link with the new Qantas partners on a flight to say Amsterdam. Clearly no one with 500K QFFs would consider buying Flying Blue miles. Any bright ideas out there?
