Following the escalation of the number of Wuhan Coronavirus cases, British Airways has suspended all flights to Mainland China. As of now, flights to Hong Kong remain unaffected.
While the British Airways‘ website states that they are temporarily suspending their daily flights to Beijing and Shanghai until 31st January, these flights are not bookable in both January and February.
British Airways is one of the first airlines to suspend all flights to Mainland China. Indonesia’s Lion Air has also announced that they will be suspending their flight to Mainland China starting 1st February until further notice.
British Airways passengers whose flights are not yet cancelled are advised to keep their contact details up to date. Passengers flying to/from China between 31st January and 23rd February may re-book to another flight operated by British Airways, to the same destination. Alternatively, passengers may also opt for a refund. Refund is applicable for both redemption and revenue tickets.
