Emirates has secured final approval to launch flights between Dubai and Tel Aviv. If all goes to plan, services will commence in January.
Flights will operate to Ben Gurion Airport, according to Israeli broadcaster Kann News. Emirates declined to comment on the matter, saying that the rumour cannot be confirmed yet.
Following the historic flight between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, two airlines have already jumped on the new market, notably the Israeli national carrier El Al and Israir, both hoarding slots and eagerly preparing to launch their routes.
Kosher Catering
Earlier this week, the Khaleej Times reported that Emirates Flight Catering has entered into a partnership to set up a dedicated kosher food production facility in Dubai.
Interestingly, kosher food production will begin in January 2021 – at the same time flights to Israel are rumoured to begin.
“We’ve been watching the global trends for kosher food, and with recent developments we expect that demand for kosher food in the UAE and region will grow quickly.”

More to come.
