Airbus delivered 57 commercial airplanes in September 2020, versus 71 aircraft over the same period in 2019, making it their most successful month of the year until now.

Since the beginning of the year, the European manufacture has delivered 341 (300 single-aisles, 9 A330s and 32 A350s) a reduction of 40% compared to the same period of last year (571 aircraft deliveries).

Up to September Airbus had booked a total of 300 net commercial aircraft orders, compared with 127 net orders in the equivalent 2019 period.

Narrow Bodies

The bulk of the deliveries consisted of the A320neo family, with 42 aircraft. Indian low-cost airline IndiGo received the most individually of the monthly deliveries, 3 A321neos and 2 A320neo.

Some of the other airlines that received A320neo family planes are Aegean Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Volaris and Iberia. The only A321ceo was delivered to Delta Air Lines.

On the other hand Airbus delivered five A220-300s, three to Air Canada and two to Egyptair.

Wide Bodies

Airbus also delivered a total of nine wide-body aircraft. With Delta Air Lines receiving the majority, two A330-900s and two A350-900s.
