I have been collecting GeminiJets since they launched 20 years ago! During depressing times like these, I have found that model collecting can really take away some of the stress!

Gemini are ok but if you want real quality at the same price,go NG or Av400 at 1:400 scale!
JCWings and Phoenix are good backups for some liveries and certain model aircraft type!
For example i have kept all my Etihad B787-9/10 from Phoenix brand as i prefer their choice of
paint colour over every other brand ,though i suppose AV400 and Panda are actually nearer to the real thing! JCwings tends to be better on graphics for B787’s atleast!
So AV400 for A350’s ,JCWings or Phoenix or NG for B787’s.
In the past Bigbord for B747’s or WittyWings/Apollo,great brand also did the best A380’s now gone.
Herpa alright,so any more i could mention though at the moment it seems NG is no.1! Though i’d
say joint with Av400 as there MRRT ‘s are better and NG have vetter packaging with foam! Shame AV400 cannot do packaging like they do for their A330-200 MRRT’s for the rest of their model range!
Just the little bit extra class! Like 1:200 scale models come in! Inflight200 best at 1:200 for sure!

Hi Garry,
I have also been collecting model airplanes for twenty years, not just GeminiJets. And I have given my best years working on the 787 (and many other Boeing, Airbus and Embraer aircraft) for a well-known airline. You don’t need to tell me, my friend, which 787 is the best on the 1:400 scale. I have to agree with you about the JC Wings one. Forget about the NG’s one, it don’t. Also do not forget that GeminiJets used JC Wings’ 787-9 mold to make a Qatar 787-9 that is better to the NG’s one. Just look at the colors. Even they made a flaps down version. I don’t consider myself an expert, but my aviation career can tell why I prefer GeminiJets. I have seen NG’s work. They are only good in appearance. Give me a dozen of NGs, the best ones for you, and my own knowledge to review them and I guarantee I will take any one at random and tell you any type of issues you might select—mold, livery, colors, fonts, details and yes, even markings, regardless of their slogan, tendencies and estimations (which does not mean what is) of their spokesman. There are many more errors on those Chinese brands than you imagine. If you like we can review them….not here, of course.
Remember that the principle of all scale aircraft is accuracy and not just the appearance. This is a serious aviation site made by true connoisseurs, hence GeminiJets.
Have a wonderful week. Stay safe.
Very interesting that GeminiJets chose a variant of N502EA without the black radome. In fact, I did get to see Eastern 757s with the radome painted blue. They were a far-out exception to the black nose. So 502, between the usual maintenance checks, may have had it (I have an aviation career; then the self appointed “experts”—which they are not—come out saying it is wrong). But the most amazing release for me was New York Air N805NY. If possible, want to see Apples in 1:200. And more airlines that emerged after the 1978 Airline Deregulation Act!
About your video:
I have that United 747 and it is my favorite. I love the “Battleship” gray. Even though it is one of the very first GeminiJets models, no one but they unil today have been able to reproduce this scheme with precision. What a good time you spent with Elliot!
I am also approaching 20 years collecting GeminiJets! For collectors, do not be blinded by those Chinese brands that forums and certain characters call the latest and greatest.
