A photo report on my recent Thai Airways B747-400 domestic flight from Bangkok to Phuket. I was able to fly in First Class seat with a Business Class ticket.
Hint:
Thai Airways only sell domestic ticket in Business and Economy Class. For business class ticket holder, you can request to be seated in First Class section at check-in. (This cannot be done online and need the check-in desk to call the control to open up the seat)
Here are some picture of Thai Airways First Class on their B747-400
The in-flight service on this short 1 hour 20 minutes sector. Thai serve a one tray breakfast on the morning TG203 flight.
More pictures of the cabin include Business Class.

Hi Charlee,
I plan to give this a try like Sam “hinted” but need to be careful on which version of 747 (7442 / 7443 / 7444). The one I would avoid is the old 7442 config but then again it is impossible to know at this point until perhaps a few days before (or departure day) when they have rostered the aircraft accordingly. Good luck to both of us!
Thanks Sam for the tips!
Agree, there’s always a risk of aircraft changing.
Hi Sam,
I’m planning to do the same. Did you take the one at 7.40am? I can see only see this one from Bangkok to Phuket with the B747 aircraft. It says “747 all series passenger”. Would this be the one with first class seats?
All the other flight times are with A330 or something else that wouldn’t have first class.
If you can let me know I would be very grateful.
Thank you kindly,
Charlee
Yes All B747 on Thai has First Class seats.
