FARNBOROUGH: Sichuan Airlines firms deal for 10 Airbus A350s

In a deal worth $3.1 billion at list prices, Sichuan Airlines has firmed their deal for 10 Airbus A350-900s which was made earlier this year.

An agreement to take four A350-900s through a lessor was also made during the signing ceremony.

With their fleet consisting entirely of Airbus aircraft, it’s highly likely that the airline was interested in the commonality that the A350 has to offer. This allows for reduced training for pilots already on the A330 and allows them to fly both types.

Sichuan Airlines plans to deploy the new aircraft on their existing network of long-haul routes such as Europe, North America.
