FARNBOROUGH: Air Lease sign for 78 Boeing aircraft

Boeing has secured more firm orders and commitments with Air Lease signing for 20 firm 737 MAX 8s, commitments for 55 737 MAX 8s and three 787-9s.

Boeing states the deal has a list price value of $9.6 billion.

Air Lease was founded in 2010 and has 361 Boeing aircraft in its portfolio, consisting of 288 737s, 52 787s and 21 777s.

With airlines demanding more fuel efficient, modern aircraft, Air Lease’s commitment to this range of aircraft is bound to bring in airline signatures.
