Being the first to introduce the Premium Economy Class to the home based market in US three years ago, American Airlines has finally completed all of the installation. Be it an aviation geek or a normal consumer, who is confused about the product offerings in the industry, let’s take some time to (re)familiarise the choices that we have in the market.
Premium Economy Class Service
American Airlines Premium Economy Class differs from Economy Class by offering: greater legroom, wider seats, extra recline and extendable foot rest. Also, passengers can relax with a Casper day blanket and lumbar pillow, enjoy a premium amenity kit and a chef-inspired meal with wines. At the airport customers can check in two free bags and enjoy priority benefits when checking in, going through priority security and boarding.

Operating Routes and Aircraft Types
Premium Economy Class is available on board 124 American Airlines‘ aircraft, namely the Boeing 787s, Boeing 777s and Airbus A330-200s. Should you be flying on long haul international flights, and on certain flights to Alaska and Hawaii, you can book yourself on Premium Economy Class through the conventional revenue tickets or redemption tickets. Moving forward, as American Airlines takes delivery of 12 new Boeing 787s, the number of Premium Economy Class seats will increase again next year.
