A Qatar Airways Boeing 787 has drawn the iconic pink breast cancer ribbon in the skies above Doha. Operated by an all-female flight crew, Flight QR9901 is aimed at promoting breast cancer awareness.
The “Think Pink Flight” had only female pilots, female flight attendants, female air traffic controllers, female engineers and female passengers. Onboard for the 1:20 hour trip, the crew wore pink masks and pink amenity kits and meals were served.
Qatar CEO, Akbar Al Baker, reaffirmed his airline’s support towards breast cancer treatment and prevention.
“As an airline, we are inspired by the tremendous global effort that has gone into fighting this disease. We hope our message of breast cancer awareness reaches as many people as possible.”His Excellency, Akbar Al Baker, CEO, Qatar Airways
Throughout October Qatar Airways will continue to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, by incorporating pink onboard their aircraft and similar themes inside their lounges.
