Delta Unveils New Cabin Interior

  • Delta’s new cabin interior will debut on Boeing 757s in late 2024.
  • The cabin overhaul includes upgraded seating, lighting, and refreshed design elements across all cabins.

Delta Air Lines is set to introduce a completely redesigned cabin interior across its fleet, starting with the Boeing 757s which operate on domestic and short-haul international routes.

The redesigned interiors will then expand to the Airbus A350 in early 2025 for long-haul international routes. This overhaul, coinciding with Delta’s centennial anniversary, aims to enhance passenger comfort and reflect evolving travel expectations.

Seating

  • Delta One: Passengers will experience new fabric seats made from a wool-nylon blend designed for better temperature regulation.
  • Premium Select and First Class: These cabins will receive updated seats with engineered leather covers over memory foam cushions, providing additional comfort.

Passengers in Comfort+ and Main Cabin will also benefit from new engineered leather seat covers with signature stitching and accent stripes. Widebody aircraft in these classes will feature memory foam cushions as part of the interior refresh.

Lighting

The new lighting system will adjust throughout the flight to create a relaxing and functional environment.

During boarding, warm lighting will enhance the spaciousness of the cabin, while at mealtimes, softer hues will be used to create a more comfortable dining experience.

Moreover, lighting will also mimic sunrise and sunset to help passengers adjust to time zone changes.

Refreshed Color Schemes

Delta is introducing a refreshed color scheme with softer tones and a modern look across the cabin. Design motifs will include the “Infinite Grid” and “Celestial Sky” patterns on bulkheads, as well as branded dividers in premium cabins on widebody aircraft.

Lavatories will also feature new color schemes, ensuring improved cleanliness and safety.
