United Airlines To Cut Remaining International Schedule

United Cut International Schedule

United Airlines today announced that they are reducing their international schedule by 95% for April.

Update: United today (March 21, 2020) have updated their international schedule by stating it will continue flying six daily operations to and from the following destinations – covering Asia, Australia, Latin America, the Middle East and Europe. More from the updated post here.

Flights continuing from now through May schedule

  • Newark/New York – Frankfurt (Flights 960/961)
  • Newark/New York – London (Flights 16/17)
  • Newark/New York – Tel Aviv (Flights 90/91)
  • Houston – Sao Paulo (Flights 62/63)
  • San Francisco – Tokyo-Narita (Flights 837/838)
  • San Francisco – Sydney (Flights 863/870)
  • Selected Mexico Service
  • Island Hopper service

Atlantic

  • United is drawing down its remaining trans-Atlantic operation. The final westbound departures will take place on March 25th; with the exception of their Cape Town-New York/Newark service, which will operate as previously scheduled with the last flight departing Cape Town on March 28th.

Pacific

  • United will reduce their remaining trans-Pacific operation starting March 22nd, with final eastbound departures on March 25th; with the exception of service between San Francisco and Tahiti and San Francisco and Sydney, which will have final returns to San Francisco on March 28.
  • United will maintain some Guam flights, as well as a portion of their Island Hopper service.

Latin America

  • United will reduce their Mexico operation over the next five days. After March 24th they will only maintain a small number of daytime flights, to certain destinations in Mexico.
  • United will draw down its remaining Central and South America operations. The last southbound departures will take place March 24th.

Canada

  • United will temporarily suspend all flying to Canada effective April 1st.

  1. You have to be very patient. I waited on the line for 1h 45m but when I finally got a human voice it was quick. Insist on o full refund under the current circumstances.

  2. United and American the worst they really screw customers. Everytime i fly now I wonder what else will they charge you for and raise the price of.
    Lately it seems so many of the evening stewards are nasty and mean they practically throw things at you and are surly when asking them a question.
    I wonder how thier company treats them.
    Disgruntled employees i imagine.

    1. How did you cancel your flights-over the phone/on line? Where and when were you scheduled to travel. I have flights out of Fresno/Denver/Munich/Croatia/Barcelona.
      Would like to cancel and receive refund.

  3. Now try getting a refund from them or even a credit that you can actually use. They want a bailout and yet continue to screw over their customers worse than pretty much any other airline I’ve looked at related to this all.
