Cathay Pacific The Pier New First Class Lounge
Cathay Pacific has two first class lounges at their Hong Kong hub, and I was very excited to visit The Pier.
I’m pleased to say that this lounge is even better than their other facility, The Wing, although it is further away.
The lounge is located near gate 63 opened in June 2015 after extensive renovation.
The lounge is open to all one world First Class ticket holder, top tier Marco Polo club members and one world Emerald status frequent flyer.
The entrance foyer.
It has a hotel lobby feel instead being an airline lounge.
The lounge was very quiet during all of my visit at different hours.
The elegant bar area.
Seating area near the bar.
Another seating area.
The Bureau, offers six work suites equipped with iMac computers.
Dining Room - table service
Bar at the dining area.
A La Carte Menu
My food with great presentation.
If you're in the mood for a quick and light bite, The Pantry offers a generous spread of grab-and-go delicacies, and is freshly replenished throughout the day.
There is a fridge full of food in separate containers!
After some food, I headed over to the very quiet "Retreat" area
The "Retreat area" consist of many day bed with amazing apron view like this!
Night time view of the Retreat.
In the Retreat area, there is also a in-house spa and shower suite facility on site.
You can choose between Foot Massage, Neck, Shoulder, Scalp massage and a gentleman's facial.
The passage to shower rooms.
Luxury shower suite.
Conclusion
The Pier, where every considered detail evokes a feeling of care and tranquility. It is certainly a destination and highlight of its own kind!
It was a huge pleasure to visit this lounge and definitely one of the best First Class lounge in the world.
It gives a feel of being at a top end boutique hotel while the privacy is done just right!
