Review: Kempinski Hotel Muscat

I stayed at the new Kempinski Hotel Muscat around end of June after taking the Oman Air B787-9 delivery flight from Boeing factory at Seattle.

The Kempinski Hotel Muscat is Oman's latest 5 star hotel. Designed with a variety of local Omani influences, the hotel opened its doors to guests since March this year. The hotel is surrounded by over 6 km of stunning coastline within Al Mouj community near Muscat International Airport.

The lobby was so stunning with influence from the Sultan's ceremonial Al Alam Palace and has a very calm and relaxing feel that look over to the infinity pool and the sea.

The suite was fantastic, it was surrounded by large balcony on both side. I particularly like the Omani decoration which can be found in the room. The bedding was very comfy and comes with a pillow menu.

The Kempinski Muscat Hotel features 3 stunning swimming pools: A kids' pool, main pool (infinity pool), and the cascade pool (adults pool). It also has a fully equipped gym and spa, which guest can use during their stay.

For those guest who booked the Executive Room or suites, the Executive Lounge serves an array of beverages, snacks and desserts during happy hours.  The selection isn't as wide as some of the other hotels in the region but I've noticed this is consistent with other Kempinski brand such as The Emirates Palace at Abu Dhabi.

The Kempinski Muscat is both a business convention hotel and a leisure resort. Throughout the hotel, you will find many Omani unique local decoration and the staff made me felt greatly welcomed. There was a great relax feeling of stepping back in time and the clock has stopped ticking while staying in the hotel. I've also visited the city of Muscat which itself is very charming and extremely charismatic. It is the only Middle East cities without many high-rise which i find it unique and authentic. Here are some more pictures of my Muscat City tour.
