Swiss B777 First Class Suite

I bought an amazing Swiss/Lufthansa First Class ticket back in April from Athens to Hong Kong via Zurich on Swiss. During my transit in Zurich, I have visited the amazing Swiss First Class Lounge in both terminal A and E. You can see the lounges in a separate post here.

I've also made a Youtube Video on-board SWISS B777. You can view the details below.

As the flight to Hong Kong was a late evening departure, the cabin was kept dimmed for the night ambience. We have 6 passengers in total out of 8 available suites. The SWISS First Class Suite on the B777 is arranged in 1-2-1 configuration. It is squarely and have a very large 32" TV screen.

I have a great rest on this flight. This report will focus on the food and service delivery, as well as some pictures of the private suite.

My welcome drink was a glass of Laurent-Perrier Grand Siecle champagne with canapes. Amenity kit and Zimmerli branded pyjamas was distributed prior to takeoff. The captain also came out to chat with every single passenger, which was a nice touch. (I understand this is also a long standing SWISS tradition.)

After take-off, a fine dining dinner was served. I was lucked out as that week they have a campaign "SWISS Connoisseur Experience" which was an extra bonus! There were not just one, but three kinds of caviar on offer for tasting!

To my surprise the caviar on the right is from Hangzhou, China! All of them taste excellent but my preference was the Chinese made one!

Then the crew rolled out the appetizer cart; with six choices to choose from! (pictured here 5 choices plus a soup)

The meals were excellent in taste and presentation. The black cod was moist and its taste comparable to many fine restaurants.

After a huge meal, it was time for a huge sleep! (This is pretty much what First Class flight is about these days!) The seat on the B777 is wide enough to convert to a decent size bed. I must say the quilt is of excellent quality, not feeling hot or cold. There was a thick mattress to add additional comfort. Unlike Lufthansa First class, Swiss B777 First Class offer total privacy. a bed with a seat belt and a lamp on the side

I woke up about 2 hours before landing and chose to have breakfast in bed!

SWISS serve a traditional Swiss style breakfast before landing. The juice and yogurt were fresh and excellent. My favourite is the grill sausage in the breakfast.

We circled over Hong Kong city and Victoria Harbour before landing on-time at 4:20pm. It was a very clear day in Hong Kong. You can see the old airport Kai Tak in the middle of the city! Enjoy the beautiful landing on my video.

Overall, this was an excellent First Class flight. The cabin was very quiet and private during the whole flight. The luxury is fairly understated but everything carried the SWISS quality mark. The pyjamas, quilt, mattress, food were of excellent quality. SWISS First Class gave me a boutique First Class impression when compare to their larger parent Lufthansa. I am definitely looking forward to fly SWISS First Class again if there are more good deals.
